A Matter of the Heart

“Acts 15 helps us see who these early Christians were, these disciple-makers, who risked everything to answer the call of Christ. I know it’s hard to see “them” in this passage because we first see the blip, the bump, the ripple occurring in the Church because of this exponential growth. It’s hard not to see those who had a different accent sitting where I sit and worse still, refugees from afar. It may have even been around that time when the deadliest seven words spoken in the church were ever heard, “We’ve never done it that way before.” But if we look closer we see beyond the blip to the true heart of the church and even more the true heart of the disciple…”
